New or returning? • Here’s how to order ▾
If you’ve ordered from us in the past 4 years, go ahead and place your order — we have your impressions on file. 🤩

Just one thing to be clear about:
While we do have your ear impressions on file, that’s only a small part of the process.
Remaking a pair still requires the same high-quality materials, skilled labor, and full production time as your original set. It’s not a quick copy-and-paste.
Our Safety Net policy gives you one-time discounted protection — just in case life throws a curveball.
No hassle, no judgment. Just a fair way to keep you protected.

Two Versions. Same Fit. Different Experience.
Riders vs Riders Pro
Riders are solid silicone and block out as much noise as possible. Usually preferred for longer rides.
Riders Pro (current selection) are vented with a built-in filter that controls how much sound gets through - so you can hear voices, helmet comms, and traffic better while staying protected.

~20–24 dB (Filtered Control)
26–30 dB (Solid Blocking)
Helmet comms and speech come through clearer
Speech is muffled
Traffic and engine noise softened, not erased
Most road noise blocked
Riders who want protection and awareness
Long rides where max quiet is the goal
Slightly more open, natural-feeling - snug and secure
Full seal, isolated ride
Keep filters dry, wipe clean. Remove filters to clean if necessary
No filters – rinse and go

Built for All-Day Comfort and Protection

Vented Canal for Controlled Sound
The canal tip is shaped to match your ear for a snug, comfortable fit.
A small vent runs through the centre to let in controlled sound, and each set comes with a cleaning tool to keep the system clear and working properly.
Subtle, Low-Profile Design
Discreet - flush with your ear or recessed so there are no bulky pieces sticking out to catch your helmet when you put it on or take it off.
The plugs stay in securely and they won't shift or move until you take them out.
Acoustic Filter for Industrial Noise
Each plug is fitted with an acoustic filter - designed to reduce wind and pipe noise while keeping speech and helmet comms clear and easier to hear. These filters cut the wind buffeting without blocking your awareness — so you stay connected, alert, and protected on every ride.
Right Ear Marker
A small dot shows which plug is for your right ear—so there's no guesswork.
Makes it quick and easy to get them in the right way, every time.

What's included

We get it - most earplugs are a pain
The universal fit never quite feels right under a helmet, the seal is hit-or-miss, and sound quality ends up feeling either too muffled or too sharp.
Riders Pro are made differently.
Custom-molded for a flush fit, tuned with a precision acoustic filter, and designed to stay comfortable for the long haul — these give you clarity and protection without compromise.
Built for Riding. Crafted for You.
We take into account how your ears interact with your helmet, how long you’ll be wearing them, and what kind of noise matters most on the road. Every pair is hand-finished for a flush fit, a clean seal, and a riding experience that just feels right.

HelmetFit Ear Impressions
When we take your ear impressions, we’re not just capturing the shape of your ears — we’re also considering how they interact with your helmet.
That includes how far your ears sit from your head, how flexible your cartilage is, and what kind of pressure your helmet applies. All of that helps us design a plug that sits flush, stays sealed, and won’t shift when you gear up.

Handcrafted by Earplug Experts
We specialize in building earplugs for high-noise, high-motion environments — like the road.
As licensed hearing professionals, we understand how noise, helmet fit, and long hours take a toll on your ears. Each shape is fine-tuned for comfort, seal, and durability - because when you’re riding, there’s no room for distraction. It’s detailed, hands-on work, and we take pride in getting it right.

Durable Medical-Grade Silicone
All Riders are made from medical-grade Biopor® silicone — built to handle the heat, sweat, and wear of real riding. Soft enough to stay comfortable inside your helmet, firm enough to hold their shape over thousands of kilometres.
Precision-crafted with advanced 3D fabrication, each pair is made to last — ride after ride, season after season.

High-Fidelity Filter
Riders Pro filters designed to cut down harsh wind and engine noise while keeping traffic, comms, and spatial awareness clear.
You’ll choose your filter strength when you order, and each pair comes with one set of filters installed. All filters are interchangeable, so if you ever want to adjust the noise reduction, you can swap them out easily or order additional sets. For most riders, 20 dB is the sweet spot — strong enough to take the edge off the noise, without cutting you off from the road.

FAQ
A lot of answers to a lot of questions
Is it legal to wear earplugs while riding a motorcycle?
Yes — in most of Canada, including BC, it’s legal to wear earplugs while riding. Alberta even recommends them for protecting your hearing on highways.
That said, rules can vary by province, and there’s a difference between using earplugs and wearing earphones for music. It’s always smart to check your local regulations and ride with awareness.
Are these comfortable on long rides?
Yes. The soft silicone fits your ear exactly, so there’s no rubbing or pressure, even after hours on the road. No hotspots. No helmet squeeze.
Do these interfere with my helmet?
No way!
Riders are designed to stay low-profile and flush with your ear. That means no pressure points and no shifting when your helmet goes on or off.
Can I still hear traffic and comms with Riders Pro?
Yes - that’s exactly what they’re made for. The acoustic filter lowers the overall volume of your environment, but keeps everything sounding clear and natural.
Assuming your hearing is normal, you’ll still hear your comms, traffic, and the tone of your engine — just without the harshness and fatigue. It’s quieter, not muffled, so you stay connected and aware while cutting down the noise that wears you out.
Are the filters interchangeable?
Yes - all of our filters are interchangeable across our filtered earplugs, including Riders Pro. You can swap them out anytime to adjust how much noise comes through.
We offer four filter levels: 10, 15, 20, and 25 dB — and 20 dB is by far the most popular for most riders.
Note: Each pair comes with one set of filters installed — you’ll choose your level when you order.
What if I choose the wrong filter?
No problem - we’ve got a 30-day filter swap. If you try your plugs and feel like you need more or less noise reduction, just let us know. We’ll swap the out with other filters at no charge.
Need help upfront? Just click the “Need help choosing your filter?” link beside the filter selection option up top. It’ll open a quick guide that explains each filter level and what it’s best suited for.
How long do they last before I need a new pair?
You should get at least five years out of your custom earplugs (some people get many more). Some replace them around that mark just to get a fresh pair. The main factor is whether your ear shape changes over time - most ears hold steady for at least 4-5 years.
Do you keep my impressions on file in case I need something later?
Yes. We keep your ear impressions on file for six years
If you ever need a replacement, a different type of earplug, or want to upgrade, just let us know. You can reorder directly through our website—no need to redo the fitting
What if I have small ears or narrow canals?
We’ve never come across an ear too small or a canal too unusual that we couldn’t fit. These are custom-made to your ear, so we can work with any size or shape.
Are custom earplugs covered by my health insurance?
Some insurance plans do cover custom hearing protection, especially if they explicitly list it or offer a Health Spending Account. We’ve also seen success with reimbursement under extended benefits.
That said, most insurance coverage for “audiology” is focused on hearing aids, which are classified as medical devices. Custom earplugs aren’t typically considered medical devices and may not be covered under standard audiology services.
We don’t offer direct billing, but we can provide an itemized receipt listing them as “Custom Hearing Protection,” along with our license number from the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC — which may help with your claim.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Once we have your ear impressions, your earplugs will ship within three weeks. After shipping, delivery typically takes 1-3 days for local orders in the BC Lower Mainland, a bit longer for orders across Canada, and longer for international orders depending on your location.
How are the custom-fit products shipped?
All earplugs are shipped via Canada Post for Canadian orders and UPS for international orders.
If Canada Post is on strike, we use UPS. They will arrive in a 6 x 6 silver bubble mailer which should fit in your mailbox.
I placed my order. What's next?
If we already have your ear impressions on file, nothing else is required. You’ll receive an email with your tracking number once your order ships. If we don’t have your impressions, local customers will need to book a free appointment with us for ear impressions. Out-of-town customers will need to get impressions from an audiologist or hearing clinic using our impressions guide. We’ll help you find an audiologist if needed.
Will they make my ears itch or push wax deeper?
No. All of our earplugs are crafted from ultra-soft, medical-grade silicone that’s hypoallergenic, breathable, and designed for long-term comfort without irritation.
What's included with my order?
Your order includes a set of Engagers custom earplugs with one set of filters (chosen by you), a small zipper pouch, a cleaning tool, and ear balm to help you get them in during the first use.
